Our Black on Body dog wash is made using castile soap and therefore vegan. Made in Australia and packaged using recyclable and reusable aluminium bottle, it’s what we don’t put in that makes our product special. We have added a hint of bergamot and Rosalina, calming for your dog, pleasant smelling for you.
This dog wash is free from the usual foaming agents used in the more commercial dog washes, like coco betaine, decyl glucoside, sodium laurel sulphate, free from detergents, thickeners, animal fats (making it suitable for vegans), and preservatives, all known skin irritants, making our dog wash non-allergenic and 100% biodegradable.
Unlike chemical based detergents that carry no scent and can be quite thick, traditional handcrafted Potassium or Liquid Castile Soaps like our dog wash, are naturally runny, but very foamy. However, you may find that it has the slightly nutty scent common to most handcrafted soaps made from vegetable oils.
Our dog wash has its glycerine retained. Glycerine is a natural humectant or moisturiser, due to its water building capabilities, that allows it to draw and absorb water from the air. Chemically speaking glycerine is a by-product of the saponification (soap-making) process and its mildness and skin-friendliness will leave your dog’s fur feeling soft and cleansed.
